"The Luxury of Letting Go"
Sure, there’s a price to pay to have your Rembrandt packed
and shipped with white gloves, and then installed among
your art collection at your new home - at precisely the same
height as in your former home. But it’s not the bottom line
that sets Delivery Limited apart, says Joseph Toliver, director
of client relations. It’s the fine line between paying heavy-
lifters to haul your goods and sleeping soundly because
trusted crews are sweating the tiniest details, whether that
means hanging a shining chandelier or handling a vintage
wine collection.
The company got its start by answering to the most selec-
tive clientele: interior designers. They trusted the company to
handle deliveries of furniture purchases to their own
demanding clients. The company’s reputation grew, as did its
range of services.
“It’s the fine line
between paying heavy-lifters to
haul your goods and sleeping
soundly because trusted crews
are sweating the tiniest details”
Now, there’s no “normal day” in the life of the staff, says
Kimberley Tipps, director of business development.
Many clients are “in transition,” she says. For instance,
One client recently moves all her worldly possessions
Into the company’s client-controlled storage facility
Because she’s spending a year aboard and sold her house
before setting out.
Another was displaced by black mold.
“We helped her transition her items to a special cleaners
and then to our facility while they leveled her home,” Mr.
Toliver says.
Luckier clients simply want to skip the hassle of moving
furnishings, art and antiques to a second or third home.
While the family jets off to exotic locales, Delivery Limited
steps in and handles it all, Mr. Toliver says. If the family finds
more treasures while traveling, some of which are in need of
repair or reupholstering, it’s no problem. Crews will receive
the containers, inspect the contents, take digital photos of the
condition, complete the fixes and then deliver the items.
“We like to say that we are unlimited in services, but lim-
ited in clients,” Mr. Toliver says, “because not everyone would
appreciate what we do. But people who are used to a high
level of service in every aspect of their lives – they
appreciate the difference.”
